A first for the company in the United States

CALGARY, Alberta - ATCO Lodge Williston, a hotel-style workforce housing complex located north of Williston, North Dakota, will open December 8 to meet growing demand from the oil and gas sector. The 150-room facility is an "open camp" style accommodation. It is the first open camp facility operated by ATCO Structures & Logistics (ASL) in the United States.
"Drilling permit activity is at a record pace in North Dakota and the demand for workforce accommodation continues to grow along with it," said Harry Wilmot, President, ATCO Structures & Logistics.
The 10,560 square foot ATCO lodge will offer private rooms with TVs, DVD players and internet access. The complex also includes a fitness and recreation centre, lounge and a business centre. Accommodation is offered on a short or long-term basis and the room rate includes three meals a day.
"We’ve already received a great deal of interest in bookings," said Wilmot. "ATCO looks forward to providing workers in the Williston area with comfortable, safe accommodation."
In addition to the lodge in Williston, ASL operates four similar hotel-style camps in Canada – three in Alberta near the oilsands and one in Saskatchewan. ASL also operates the Narwhal Inn, located in Resolute Bay, Nunavut.
