Fire Protection & First Response

ATCO provides fire fighting services required for camp support and site operations. We develop specific Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Response Contingency Plans for each unique project. The primary consideration is to provide a reliable, safe and efficient 24/7-fire service response to all types of fires using effective command and control at the scene. 

Our goal is to ensure a safe environment, through education and professional development of fire personnel and volunteer firefighters to safely and effectively respond to all types of scenarios.

As part of our full service fire protection ATCO can provide:

• Necessary structures, equipment and personnel as required for Fire Protection Services
• Professional, full-time firefighting staff, consisting of a fully qualified and experienced Fire Chief and a Deputy Chief of similar qualifications
• Fire prevention training, including: fire extinguisher training (PFE), fire warden training, inspections, recharging/maintenance of fire extinguishers, respiratory protection program
• Monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual fire inspections of facilities
• Vehicles and equipment including pumpers, rapid response brush trucks, water trucks and command vehicles
• "Bunker gear” (jacket, pants, boots, gloves, helmets) for firefighters and auxiliary / volunteer firefighters
• Inspection/repair tools and equipment, publications pertinent to the tasks, and physical fitness equipment
