How can you identify areas of harmful noise exposure in your workplace?
Noise Monitoring
Noise monitoring of your workplace to quantify worker exposure to noise (dosimetry) and workplace noise levels will provide you with the information you need to determine whether you need to take action. The experts at ASL can help you identify harmful workplace noise with a noise survey or noise test.
Noise Measurements
We take noise measurements throughout your workplace, or specific workplace areas to identify noise levels. The noise survey will provide useful information which enables us to identify:
- Areas where employees are likely to be exposed to harmful levels of noise
- Machines and equipment which generate harmful levels of noise
- Employees who might be exposed to hazardous noise levels
- Noise reduction solutions that reduce noise exposure
How does a noise survey work?
Our acoustical consultants use a sound level meter that measures noise levels at various areas throughout your work site. This information is transposed into a noise map that shows the locations of workers and noisy areas.
Noise survey maps provide important information that shows where there are areas of noise hazards so that you can implement noise protection programs and noise exposure reduction strategies.
