Hockey arenas are the heart of small communities throughout Canada during our long winter months. ATCO has a solution to make your arena an affordable and versatile source of pride and many hours of fun, healthy exercise and entertainment.
The Fort McKay First Nation of northern Alberta needed a permanent hockey arena and ATCO met their needs with a 36,000 sq. ft. facility that includes a refrigeration ice plant to maintain the ice surface year round.

Construction started in August 2010 and lasted through the frigid northern winter with blowing snow and temperatures dropping to -55C. The arena was completed in June of 2011.

ATCO has designed and built pre-fabricated gymnasiums and multi-purpose recreation facilities at remote locations around the world. We have the ability to custom build similar facilities for Aboriginal communities anywhere in Canada.
