Dynamic Air Shelters
When rapid deployment of shelters is critical, ATCO Structures & Logistics (ASL) offers Dynamic Air Shelters’ blast-resistant inflatable shelters.
These highly durable, functional shelters are easily transported and can be set up in hours, depending on size, and are ideal for:
- Military sites
- Command posts
- Field hospitals
- Relief camps
- Equipment and material storage
These air-beam structures are designed to protect personnel in challenging or dangerous environments and are in use from the Gulf Coast to the Arctic.
Safety first, innovation second
Dynamic Air Shelters’ air-beam structures are designed for safety and rapid deployment in mind. Innovative features include:
- Blast-resistant resilient designs
- A standard 15 m x 21 m shelter ships as 2000 kg in three crates (each measuring 3.4 cu meters) and installs in 4 hours.
- Low operating pressure enables quick inflation
- No heavy equipment required
- Validated to withstand winds of up to 130 km/hr – Some models to 165 km/hr (Category 3 hurricanes)
- Tested in heavy rains, snow, and temperatures between -55 C and + 70 C.
- Exceptional heat transfer reduction
- Optional electrical, lighting, HVAC and air filtration systems
- Custom designed to meet your specific requirements
Dynamic Air Shelters have been independently tested by DRDC Suffield, Dyn-Fx Consulting, Martec Engineering and ORA Inc. to resist high value blast and ballistic threats.
Blast-resistant technology
The combination of elasticity and flexibility of these shelters, combined with a patented load transferring system contributes to the unique blast-resistant technology that makes these shelters safe in dangerous environments.
- Live field tests to 5.9 psi and 50 ms completed and modeling to 10 psi and modeling available to demonstrate response exposure to explosion-induced waves with pressure exceeding 10 psi and duration of 15ms
- Accepts and transfers blast waves, then recovers instantly
- Optional frag wall surround for ballistic protection
