RESOLUTE BAY, Nunavut - ATCO Structures & Logistics is expanding its operational capabilities in Nunavut through an agreement to acquire the majority of the assets of 953731 NWT Limited. The assets include a fleet of construction equipment, as well as two lodging operations, the South Camp Inn and the Airport Hotel. Nine employees associated with the operation of the assets will also move over to ATCO Structures & Logistics.

953731 NWT Limited has been operating in Resolute Bay for 17 years. The acquisition will complement ATCO Structures & Logistics’ presence in the High Arctic, and will be used as a foundation to support resource projects as well as Arctic sovereignty and infrastructure initiatives undertaken by the Canadian Forces and other federal organizations in the region.
ATCO Structures & Logistics has been operating in Resolute Bay since 1970 and has a long history of providing services in the North. Projects include a turnkey, remote camp for Nanook 2010 and 2011; operation of the Narwhal Hotel; and provision of logistics services for the Polar Continental Shelf Program.
