New energy-efficient product line promotes reduction of carbon footprint in compliance with Carbon Trust Standard
May 9, 2012
BANBURY – ATCO Structures & Logistics today launched the ATCO ecowise™ line of portable cabins in the United Kingdom, specially developed to reduce energy costs while maintaining reliability and comfort.
“ATCO ecowise™ units are designed to meet the United Kingdom’s standards by using energy-efficient windows, doors, insulation, heating, ventilation and lighting systems,” said Campbell Rodden, Director & General Manager, ATCO Structures & Logistics UK. “These ATCO ecowise™ units will help our customers reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining the quality and reliability they expect from ATCO products.”
The ATCO ecowise™ line of products will offer several energy-reducing features to provide cost savings for customers. These portable buildings use the most energy-efficient products available while reducing energy consumption, environmental impact and decreasing utility costs.
The 2008 Climate Change Act established Britain as the first country with legally binding carbon budgets aimed at cutting U.K. emissions by at least 80 per cent by 2050. In support of this target, an energy performance certification program has been established. The Carbon Trust Standard is awarded to organizations that measure, manage and reduce their carbon footprint.
