​First place awarded for custom-designed modular bank

CALGARY – ATCO Structures & Logistics has won an Award of Distinction from the Modular Building Institute (MBI) for the Home Federal Bank in Bossier City, La. The project, completed for National Modular Bank Buildings (NMBB) included the manufacturing, transportation and installation of ATCO’s modular units in just 21 days. This is the second time ATCO and NMBB have won an Award of Distinction for bank projects.

“The bank structure was a very specialized and unique project that required significant communication with our customer,” said Craig Alloway, Senior Director – Sales, North America, ATCO Structures & Logistics. “This project is an example of our ability to deliver highly specialized and visually appealing solutions for our clients.”

The modern bank design has several distinct features including the installation of an eight-foot fixed bullet resistant window, a drive-through feature including a night depository and commercial deal drawer, as well as architectural elements designed to provide natural light and make the modular building aesthetically pleasing to welcome clients.

The MBI Awards of Distinction are judged on several criteria: architectural excellence, technical innovation, energy efficiency, cost and calendar days to complete. An impartial panel of industry and non-industry construction and code experts, architects and engineers, and marketing professionals reviews each entry.
