Barge Landing Lodge is owned and operated by ATCO Structures & Logistics Ltd. and was built in partnership with Fort McKay First Nation. The lodge has brought much-needed quality accommodations to the Alberta oilsands region 65 kms north of Fort McMurray. ATCO works to build mutually beneficial relationships with Aboriginal communities by developing strategies that provide appropriate opportunities to improve employment and business relations.
Union Affiliation
The Building Trades of Alberta and Construction Labour Relations Alberta have certified both Creeburn Lake and Barge Landing Lodges. Both Lodges are affiliated with Unite Here Local 47, and are the only camps in the Fort McMurray area affiliated with the Building Trades of Alberta.
